DAVAO CITY — The Department of Education (DepEd) will not require public schools for a face-to-face class tomorrow April 8 but instead implement “asynchronous classes/distance learning” .
In an order issued on Sunday, the Education department announced that it will implement “asynchronous classes/distance learning” for all public schools nationwide on Monday (April 8, 2024).
Asynchronous classes/Modular Distance Learning will be implemented nationwide to ensure that no homework, projects and other school activities are left behind. This is according to the announcement of the Department of Education.
The “Teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations,” the order added.
Asynchronous learning means that the instructor and the students in the course all engage with the course content at different times (and from different locations). The instructor provides students with a sequence of units which the students move through as their schedules.
But, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same, the order emphasized.
