DAVAO CITY —The primary suspect who allegedly masterminded the murder of radio broadcaster Ed Dizon has many tentacles and now free after he posted a bail bond, said Undersecretary Paul Gutierrez, executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS).

Gutierrez said “On March 12, the principal suspect Dante Encarnacion Tabusares was able to post a bail and now he is free.”

“We were not aware that the court granted his bail, so we are now trying to do all legal remedies because one of the witnesses has been secured,” Gutierrez emphasized.

However, the Southern Mindanao officials agreed on Monday, May 13, to forge links to resolve the case as soon as possible.

Last month, Remember that in the month of April, the Department of Justice issued an order to form a Special Investigation team to focus on solving Dizon’s case.

Gutierez is focused on ensuring that the case of Dizon’s murder is resolved.

Last week, Junell Jane Andagkit Poten, aka ‘Junell Gerozaga.’ The alleged gunman assigned to kill Dizon was arrested in Makilala, North Cotabato.

However, despite all this, the suspected mastermind behind the assassination of Dizon, Tabusares, better known as ‘Bong Encarnacion,’ remains scot-free.

Encarnacion used to be an official of the defunct KAPA-Community Ministry International was one of the biggest financial investment fraud scandals in Philippine history

Despite being tagged as the mastermind in the Dizon Killing, Encarnacion remains free after posting bail. In various video posts through his social media page now claims as a religious pastor stressing that Hasmadai is a humanitarian and spiritual mission and not a scam.

According to Gutierrez, they have in their hands the list of some members of the broadcast industry, government officials, and law enforcers who are supporting him and to some extent protecting him.

According to Makilala Police Chief Lt. Col. John Miridel Calinga, as far as his area of responsibility is concerned “We will do our best to help in the implementation of the law.”

Dizon was shot dead while returning home on July 10, 2019.
