Power service disruptions on June 9 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) has announced scheduled power interruptions on Sunday, June 9, 2024, to facilitate critical line and substation maintenance across Davao City and Davao del Norte.

Schedule and Areas Affected:

  1. Northern Franchise Area:
    • 12:00 AM – 1:00 AM & 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: 30-minute interruptions for load transfer and normalization.
    • Affected Areas: Tadeco Substation (New Visayas, Tanglaw, Libertad, San Miguel, Magsaysay, DAPECOL, Tadeco) and Sto. Tomas Substation (Marscon, Marsman to Katipunan, Luna).
  2. Carmen, Brgy. Tuganay:
    • 12:00 AM – 10:00 AM: 10-hour interruption for line upgrading.
    • Affected Areas: BIOPULP, Purok 3, 4, 4A, 5, and 8.
  3. Bajada Substation:
    • 1:00 AM – 2:00 AM & 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: 30-minute interruptions for load transfer and normalization.
    • Affected Areas: From El Bajada Hotel to Carmelite Lanang, and from Bajada to Bacaca Road, including SPMC, DMSF, Abreeza, Victoria Plaza, and DOH.

Davao Light emphasizes safety during these maintenance activities and advises the public to observe warning signs near work areas.
