DAVAO CITY — The Bangsamoro Government has distributed P14.4 million worth of post-harvest facilities to agricultural cooperatives in Lanao del Sur. The distribution took place on Saturday and is part of the government’s initiative to support local farmers.

The funding for this digital farming equipment comes from the 2023 Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF). In a press statement, parliamentarian Disimban Ramos emphasized that this support directly addresses the long-standing needs of farmers in the region for modern agricultural tools.

“This initiative will enable farmers to improve their crop yields and accelerate production,” Ramos noted. He urged farmers to utilize the new equipment with care and diligence, ensuring their efforts contribute not only to their own prosperity but also to the welfare of their communities.

“As Islam teaches us, we have a great responsibility as stewards of these blessings. Protecting and using these resources wisely is not just a task but a recognition of the blessings of Allah (swt) and the trust placed in us by our Bangsamoro Government,” he added.

Badrudin Ali, one of the beneficiaries, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it will significantly enhance their post-harvest production process. He expressed optimism that the new equipment will lead to better quality products and increased income for their cooperative.
