Davao City — Police Chief General Rommel Marbil has ordered the reassignment of eleven (11) officers from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) have been ordered to report to new assignments in MIMAROPA, PRO 2 (Tuguegarao), and PRO 5 (Bicol Region).

The PNP did not specify the reason for their reassignment.

The directive was issued through Special Order NHQ-SO-URA-2024-10296, signed by Police Major General Alan Okubo, Acting Chief of the Directorial Staff, and obtained by Newsline Philippines.

The reassigned officers are:

To PRO 2 (Tuguegarao):

  • PLtCol Ronald Lao

To MIMAROPA:

  • PMaj Rosario Aguilar
  • PMaj Noel Villahermosa
  • PMaj Jimmy Evangelista
  • PMaj Jemuel Mamolang
  • PMaj Joenel Perderio

To PRO 5 (Bicol Region):

  • PCapt Medardo Baleros Jr.
  • PCapt Ronnie Batingal
  • PCapt Henry Calvo
  • PCapt Marlon Donquilab
  • PCapt Jefferson Escasinas

The reassignment order requires the officers to report immediately to their designated regions, signaling a significant shake-up in the DCPO’s leadership and operations.

The police officers in Davao Region have been relieved from their posts to pave the way for the investigation of the seven suspected drug pushers in a recent buy-bust operation.

The even station commanders, were ordered relieved from their posts and reassigned to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Section of PRO-XI effective Friday night, May 24.

Police Major Catherine dela Rey, the spokesperson of PRO XI confirmed the report.

While the reasons behind the reassignments remain undisclosed, such actions are often linked to operational adjustments, career development, or administrative discipline.

The transfer of multiple high-ranking officers, including police majors and captains, indicates a strategic move by the PNP leadership to optimize its personnel distribution across regions.

MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) and PRO 5 (Bicol Region) have long been areas requiring focused law enforcement efforts due to their geographic and operational challenges. Tuguegarao, under PRO 2, similarly demands strategic leadership due to its central role in Northern Luzon.
