PHP 500K worth of Shabu seized in Davao City buy-bust operation

DAVAO CITY – Two suspected drug smugglers were apprehended by officers from Ecoland Police Station 15 in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 1:04 p.m. on Friday, December 6, in Purok 2 Balon, Dumalag 2, Barangay Matina Aplaya, Davao City.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases as “Bai,” 40, a driver, and “Pablito,” 34, both residents of the area, were arrested after a police poseur buyer purchased a sachet of suspected shabu worth PHP 53,380.

A subsequent search led to the recovery of additional sachets containing shabu, with a total estimated value of PHP 541,008.

The suspects are currently detained at Ecoland Police Station 15, while charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.

Authorities are intensifying their anti-drug campaign in the city, urging residents to report any suspicious activities in their communities.
