In a statement by Matalam Vice Mayor Raprap Rafael, he expressed his condolences to the family and explained that the police are already working to determine who committed the crime.

The Vice Mayor, in a statement, said he is deeply saddened by the tragic grenade explosion that occurred in Sitio Condring, Marbel, Matalam, resulting in the loss of one precious life. Sad to say, this heartbreaking incident happened just before New Year’s Eve – a time that should be filled with hope, joy, and togetherness.

Rafael said authorities are working to ensure a thorough investigation and to bring the perpetrators to justice. I urge our law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of those responsible.

He added, Let this be a reminder that peace is not the responsibility of one, but the duty of all. We must stand together, united by the desire for a safe and harmonious community. I call on everyone to remain vigilant and support efforts to strengthen security in our area.
