DAVAO CITY – Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) announced emergency power interruptions on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to facilitate urgent line works along the Tagum-Panabo Circumferential Road.

To minimize the outage duration, loads from the affected lines will be temporarily transferred to a nearby substation for approximately 30 minutes, scheduled anytime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. The return of loads to their normal set-up will take another 30 minutes, scheduled anytime between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Areas Affected:

  • From the Tadeco Substation to Purok 10 Carmen, along the highway of the Tagum-Panabo Circumferential Road.
  • From Purok 5-B Acacia to Nanyo Elementary School and nearby areas.

Additionally, a 3-hour power interruption is expected anytime between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. for customers in areas from Purok 5-B Acacia to Purok 10 Carmen and surrounding locations.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience these interruptions may cause and assures the public that all efforts will be made to restore power as scheduled or earlier. However, unforeseen circumstances may extend the restoration timeline.

For safety reasons, Davao Light reminds the public to exercise caution when passing through areas where line works are being conducted. Attention to warning signs and avoid activity zones, particularly where heavy equipment operates.
