Scheduled power interruptions in northern Davao City on February 5-6 for substation maintenance

DAVAO CITY – Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) has announced scheduled switching power interruptions in the northern part of Davao City on February 5 and 6, 2025, to facilitate the shutdown of the Lanang Substation and ERA Line 2 for safety measures during the substation’s inauguration event.

To minimize disruption, a 45-minute switching operation will take place between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, as power loads are temporarily transferred to a nearby substation. A second 45-minute interruption is scheduled between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, to restore power to its normal configuration.

Davao Light apologizes for any inconvenience these scheduled interruptions may cause and assures customers that all efforts will be made to restore power within the given schedule or earlier. However, restoration may extend beyond the announced timeframe in case of unforeseen circumstances.

The company emphasizes the importance of safety and urges the public to exercise caution in areas where maintenance and repair activities are ongoing, particularly near personnel operating heavy equipment. Warning signs and safety measures should be strictly followed.
