Navy personnel injured in Davao road crash

DAVAO CITY – A member of the Philippine Navy was injured after his vehicle crashed into a road barrier and slammed into a structure along a downhill road in Barangay Edeve, Toril District, on Saturday night, March 23, 2025.

The victim was identified as ASN Allen Joseph Laroa Linao, a resident of Rosalina Village, Barangay Baliok, Davao City.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. while Linao was driving toward central Toril. Upon reaching a curved and downhill portion of the road, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle, hitting a road barrier before the car plunged down an embankment and crashed into an under-construction office owned by a certain Catalino Silagan.

Responders from Barangay Lizada immediately arrived at the scene and brought Linao to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for treatment.

Authorities are conducting further investigation into the incident
