DAVAO CITY (July 3) – Passengers at the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) will soon enjoy free WIFI access, with implementation targeted for July.

DCOTT Manager Aisa Usop shared in an interview on the city-run Davao City Disaster Radio’s Madayaw Program that the initiative is part of ongoing improvements at the terminal.

“We’re going to have public WIFI at DCOTT. Hopefully, we can start rolling it out next month, as we’re working hard to have it ready before the Kadayawan Festival,” Usop said.

DCOTT is already coordinating with the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region XI (DICT-XI) for the installation.

Additional upgrades have also been completed, including new public comfort rooms at the Southbound bay that can be used free of charge and more CCTV cameras to improve security by monitoring blind spots.

Usop assured the public that DCOTT management remains committed to enhancing systems and services for passengers’ comfort and safety.
