DAVAO CITY (August 28)  — The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has completed the distribution of the second quarter subsidy for eligible solo parents in the city.

CSWDO head Julie P. Dayaday confirmed on the Madayaw Radio Program (Aug. 25) that a total of 4,522 solo parents received ₱3,000 each. The assistance, released quarterly, is given to solo parents with valid IDs who are classified as indigent residents of Davao City.

Dayaday said preparations are now underway for the third quarter distribution. She also reminded beneficiaries to be truthful about their status, noting the difficulty in verifying if solo parents have since remarried or found new partners.

“If you are no longer eligible, please give way so we can extend the aid to indigent solo parents who truly need it,” she urged, adding that IDs must be surrendered if beneficiaries no longer qualify.

Solo parents may visit the CSWDO main or district offices to avail themselves of the city’s support services.
