DAVAO CITY (September 19)  — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 (Davao Region) agents conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City, on Thursday morning, seizing suspected shabu valued at PHP4.6 million from a high-value drug target.

PDEA-11 spokesperson Nephi Noli Dimaandal identified the suspect as 41-year-old “Buloy,” a big drug dealer and key figure in the regional drug trade.

According to Dimaandal, the suspect was caught after selling a plastic sachet carrying five grams of suspected “shabu” to an undercover PDEA agent.

“He’s been under monitoring for a long time. He wanders about from place to place, and we eventually caught him,” Dimaandal added, referring to the suspect’s elusive habit.

During the operation, 12 additional heat-sealed sachets of shabu weighing 510 grams were found, as well as drug paraphernalia, buy-bust money, and the car used in the unlawful transaction.

The suspect is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
