TAGUM CITY (November 13)  — Police have captured the region’s most wanted man, bringing relief to residents of Davao del Norte after a series of manhunts for the suspect linked to murder and carnapping.

The suspect, known only as “Pang-gong,” was arrested on November 10 in Barangay Gupitan, Kapalong during an intelligence-driven operation led by the Regional Intelligence Division XI and Davao del Norte Provincial Intelligence Team.

Authorities said the arrest followed weeks of surveillance and community coordination, ensuring a peaceful operation with no casualties.

“Pang-gong” was wanted for murder (no bail) and violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act, with a ₱300,000 bail set for the latter.

Police Regional Office XI director BGen Joseph Arguelles praised the joint forces, saying the arrest sends a clear message to fugitives.

“This is proof that strong intelligence work and community cooperation keep our neighborhoods safer,” Arguelles said.

The PNP said it will sustain its anti-criminality drive to keep local communities in Davao Region safe from lawless elements.
