Ombudsman Charges Zaldy Co in Flood-Control Scandal

DAVAO CITY (November 18)-— The Office of the Ombudsman has filed graft and malversation charges against former Ako Bicol representative Zaldy Co before the Sandiganbayan on Tuesday, November 18, in connection with a substandard flood-control project in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

This marks the first case formally elevated to the anti-graft court arising from the widening flood-control corruption scandal, signaling the start of what could be a broader wave of prosecutions linked to the alleged multi-agency anomaly.
