MANILA(November 24) —The government is stepping up its fight against human trafficking by requesting an Interpol red notice for former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, wanted in connection with alleged crimes tied to Lucky South 99, a POGO hub raided in June 2024.
Roque is among 50 individuals facing charges after the Angeles City court issued arrest warrants in May 2025. Authorities allege he played a key role in securing the POGO’s operating license and headed its legal department during a failed reapplication—claims he denies.
The Interpol red notice is a global alert to law enforcement, though not an arrest warrant. Roque has been out of the country since December 2024.
PAOCC officials stressed that pursuing Roque underscores public accountability. “Accountability starts at the top. No one is above the law,” said spokesperson Winston Casio, sending a strong message to officials and influential figures implicated in criminal schemes.
For citizens, the case is a reminder that demanding transparency and accountability is everyone’s responsibility.
