PAL A350-1000 to debut in Davao for Kadayawan Festival 2026

DAVAO CITY (July 29) — The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL), will deploy its flagship Airbus A350-1000 aircraft to Davao City in celebration of the Kadayawan Festival on select days in August, giving travelers the chance to experience the airline’s newest and most advanced wide-body jet during the height of the festivities.

In a press statement, teh company says, “Kadayawan is one of the most vibrant celebrations of Filipino culture, and Davao holds a special place in the hearts of our kababayans and travelers alike,” said Justin Warby, PAL Vice President for Sales and Distribution. “Bringing our newest flagship aircraft to Davao for this occasion is our way of joining the festivities in true PAL fashion — giving our passengers a flight experience as memorable as the destination itself.”

Airbus A350-1000, larger overhead bins, mood lighting, and the latest inflight entertainment system with 4K screens.

Kadayawan Festival, held every August in Davao City, is a week-long celebration honoring the region’s bountiful harvest, rich indigenous heritage, and the diverse cultures of its tribal communities. Known as the “King of Philippine Festivals,” it features vibrant street dancing, floral floats, agricultural fairs, and cultural showcases that draw visitors from across the country and abroad.

PAL currently operates the Airbus A350-1000 on its Manila-New York and Manila-Toronto routes.

Seats for PR 1813/1814 (13 August 2026) and PR 1805/1806 (16 August 2026) are now available for booking through the PAL website at https://www.philippineairlines.com, the PAL mobile app, PAL hotline at (+632) 8855 8888, PAL Ticket Offices, and accredited travel agencies.

What can passengers experience? Passengers flying on the aircraft can expect:

Larger 4K in-flight entertainment screens and upgraded onboard connectivity, including Wi-Fi capability.

New-generation Business Class suites with sliding privacy doors and fully flat beds.

Enhanced Premium Economy seating and amenities.
