DAVAO CITY  (September 13) — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Mindanao PRSD has issued a Thunderstorm Watch at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 13, warning that thunderstorms are more likely to develop over several areas in Davao and Northern Mindanao within the next 12 hours.

The areas covered are Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, and Bukidnon.

Residents in affected areas are advised to remain alert as thunderstorms may bring heavy rain, strong winds, frequent lightning, and possible flash floods, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone communities.

PAGASA also reminded the public to take necessary precautions and monitor succeeding weather updates, especially when traveling or engaging in outdoor activities.

Local disaster risk reduction and management offices are likewise encouraged to stay prepared for possible weather-related incidents.
