The crowd shouted “Bong Go, Bong Go”.

On Thursday, April 12, Go, had his first international meeting with the OFWs in Hong Kong where he asked them to support the programs of the Duterte administration. Tess Deola, an OFW said “Ang bait ni Sir Bong, I will campaign for him na maging senador sya.”

Duterte described Go as a very silent guy, but when the later was dragged in the Frigates controversy, and he saw Go became anxious, “I know he is not there,” (referring to the alleged involvement of Go into the the P15-Billion Philippine Navy modernization program.

When Go was ordered to appear before the Senate hearing, Duterte narrated, it was him who urged Go to come out and testify in an open court. The Frigates, according to Duterte opened Go’s opportunity to become a
politician.

Since then, Go has become a by-word and many Duterte support groups launched their own campaign for Go’s candidacy. Recently, t-shirts with Go’s photo and words “Go! Duterte” spread like a wild fire, but no one claimed ownership. It indicated though that Go’s supporters have launched their own campaign for his candidacy.

However, Go remained silent about his senate bid.-ezc
