DAVAO CITY (September 5) – The City Government of Davao, through the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), has announced that the Agdao Bridge will be closed to all vehicles from September 5 to October 5, 2025, to undergo rehabilitation and repair works led by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The CTTMO explained that the closure is necessary to ensure public safety and improve road and bridge quality. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid heavy traffic and travel delays.

“This project is being undertaken to safeguard the public and enhance the condition of our infrastructure. We encourage all motorists to use alternate roads during the closure period,” the CTTMO said in its advisory. The office also thanked the public for their patience and cooperation.

DPWH spokesperson Dean Ortiz said the rehabilitation includes the installation of expansion joints and carbon fiber, epoxy injection on cracks, patching, and protective coating for concrete structures. He added that the one-month closure is crucial to complete the repairs effectively and ensure long-term durability.
