DAVAO CITY —The Ata-Manobo youth of Sitio Kamingawan, Talaingod, Davao del Norte were overjoyed with the gifts they received from the Revitalized-Police Personnel in Barangay Kamingawan under the leadership of PLt. Vizmart R. Ricohermoso on Sunday, October 10.

With the support from the PNP Officers’ Ladies Club, the R-PSB Kamingawan distributed slippers and toys to the Ata-Manobo youth of the village.

The R-PSB Kamingawan under the supervision of PLtCol. Prudencio Cajegas Jr., Force Commander of the 2nd Davao del Norte Police Mobile Field Company distributed the gift in coordination with PCapt. Elfren Barredo, ACOP, Talaingod municipal police station.

The recipient Ata-Manobo youth were very grateful for the gift because they felt the appreciation and love of the police in the barangay especially for them who belong to an indigenous group.  They often walk barefoot and they have no money to buy toys.

The activity aimed to help the indigenous people in the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs); protect their community; extend government service under NTF-ELCAC (EO 70), and to bring them closer to the police, not to the leftist groups.
