DAVAO CITY— The Bangsamoro government held a dialogue among Moro and Non-Moro communities in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the core territory of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim’s Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG) Project, in collaboration with some members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), organized on Dec. 18 a community dialogue and distributed food packs to both non-Moro and Bangsamoro communities located outside the region’s core territory.

Thousands of beneficiaries, including members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, from the Malangas Municipality and other nearby communities in Zamboanga Sibugay received 25-kilo sacks of rice and food packs.

Expressing gratitude, Municipal Mayor Marcelo Baquial thanked the Bangsamoro Government and members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament for their support and services to the people of Malangas.

The BTA members include Suwaib Oranon, Mohammad Kelie Antao, Tawakal Midtimbang, Mudjib Abu, and Bassir Utto, also known as the Miracle 5. MP Mosber Alauddin was also part of the activity.

“Natutuwa kami ng buong Malangas na dito idinaos ang pagtipon-tipon na ito. Makakaasa ang BARMM, lahat ng MPs sa kung ano pa ‘yung pwede natin pagtulungan ay willing po ang LGU ng Malangas,” said Mayor Baquial.

[The entire people of Malangas are happy that this gathering is held here. Rest assured that the LGU of Malangas is willing to collaborate with BARMM and all MPs.]

MP Antao acknowledged the warm welcome of the mayor and expressed gratitude to CM Ebrahim.

“No less than the mayor himself ang nag-welcome sa atin dito at pinasalamatan ka (Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim) sa lahat ng biyaya at tulong mula sa Bangsamoro government,” he said.
