Barefoot lady runner wins gold in Palaro 2019

DAVAO CITY (April 29) — The 14-year-old barefoot runner from Bicol wins gold in the 3,000 meter run competition held at University of Mindanao Matina Sports Complex yesterday.

Lheslie De lima, upcoming grade 9 of Baao National High School, Camarines Sur, is a member of Bicol Vulcan Team of region 5.

Delima said she runs comfortably without shoes.

Yesterday’s gold was her second gold. In the Pambansang Palaro 2018, she also got the gold medal.

The young girl said, her recipe to success includes discipline and training.
