BARMM Chief Minister meets the media

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Chief Minister welcomed Undersecretary Paul Gutierrez, the executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security together with his chief of staff, Atty, Jyro Go and Edith Caduaya, the president of the Mindanao Independent Press Council on Friday.

During the more than one hour meeting, thre group discussed the development of BARMM and the policies that are suitable for the culture and economy of the region.

According to Chief Minister Ebrahim, there are still a big task for him to give enough attention and development to the Autonomous region because it has been neglected for a long time.

One of the most important things discussed during the meeting was the safety of journalists in Mindanao and the BARMM.

According to Ebrahim, he is ready to help the media in the matter of safety and security, especially in his region.

Gutierrez updated the Chief Minister about the Maguindanao massacre case and the Chief Minister also gave his view.

Gutierrez promised to Ebrahim that he will release the 81 names of the suspects who are still at large.

Like Gutierrez, BARMM is also looking forward to the resolution of the Maguindanao massacre case and so that justice will be served.

The group had a short briefing with by BARMM’s Secretary to the Cabinet Moh Asnin K. Pendatun and Chief Information Officer Ameen Andrew Alonto.

BARMM as explained by Chief Minister Ebrahim is now a region where there is development and peace.
