It was during a heavy downpour when the transaction between the couple and the police asset took place along the national highway, said Lieutenant Anthony Paderanga, chief of SND Municipal Police Station

According to Paderanga, the incident occurred along the national highway of SND while caught amidst a heavy downpour of rain.

Seized from the couple was a substance believed to be methamphetamine or shabu wrapped in plastic and sealed with packaging tape.

It has an estimated weight of one kilogram with an approximate market value of 6.8 million pesos according to Paderanga.

Authorities also seized from the suspects fake bust money worth 2.8 million pesos and the motorcycle used by the couple in transporting the drugs.

Using the cellular phone seized from the suspects, the police are investigating the sources of drugs.

Paderanga said, the husband is an active member of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team and a drug surrenderee of the PNP’s Tokhang program in 2016.
