BREAKING! 17-year-old suspect in the death of Christine Silawan arrested by NBI-7

CEBU CITY (March 18)— The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-7 has arrested the 17-year-old primary suspect in the brutal murder of 16-year-old Christine Silawan, in Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City.

Attorney Tomas Enrile, NBI-7 director told reporters, the suspect is a former lover of SIlawan.

Last Friday, NBI director Dante Gierran told NewsLine.ph, “We are following good leads in the Silawan case, we will catch him very soon.”

The suspect admitted before the NBI, that jealousy prompted him to commit the crime.

The suspect, was reportedly seen together with Silawan before she was found dead, as shown in the CCTV.

The exchange of messages between Silawan and the suspect led to the identification of the suspect.-NewsLine.ph
