MIDSAYAP, Cotabato – Two brothers, 14-year-old Rommel Dagohoy Bayaras and 13-year-old Kyle Dagohoy Bayaras, were killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, February 23, at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the boundary of Barangay Glad and Barangay Sadaan along Diversion Road in Midsayap.

Police identified the deceased brothers as students, while the motorcycle rider, identified as 33-year-old Karl Anthony Sotomil—a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Bual Sur—is in critical condition.

According to the victims’ grandfather, the trio was returning from a family outing in Barangay Pacao, Alamada, Cotabato when it was discovered that the children had not yet returned home. The family later found the minors’ remains at the hospital morgue.

Preliminary reports suggest that the driver may have lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to collide with a concrete barrier. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.
