DAVAO CITY — The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) will release a prayer for the 2022 elections tomorrow, November 28, 2021.

CBCP President Archbishop Romulo Valles in a circular issued Thursday said, the prayer would be launched on the first Sunday of Advent.

In the same circular, Valles said the “Prayer for 2022 Elections” was prepared by Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas and was adopted from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.

It focuses on the 16 values found in the preamble of the Constitution.

The Episcopal Commission on Liturgy however recommended that parishes pray the Oratio Imperata for Protection against the Covid-19 before the Mass, as parishes already have several prayers being recited during Sunday Masses.
