Chinese drug suspect killed, P1.5-B worth of shabu seized

DAVAO CITY  – A C hinese drug suspect was killed while four others were arrested in three separate anti-illegal drug operations in Quezon City, Valenzuela City and Bulacan province that also netted some PHP1.48 billion worth of shabu on Sunday.

One of the drug suspects, identified as Wu Zishen, 50, was killed during the buy-bust operation in Balagtas town in Bulacan.

Seized from Wu were 75 kilograms of shabu worth an estimated PHP510 million and one caliber .45 pistol.

In another buy-bust operation, arrested in Novaliches, Quezon City were Wille Lu Tan, 42; Antong Wong, 28; and Chen Zhin, 79 were arrested in Novaliches.

Seized from them were an estimated 127 kilos of suspected shabu valued at PHP863.6 million.

Arrested at Paso de Blas in Valenzuela City in another buy-bust operation was Joseph Dy, 42. Seized from him was 15 kilograms of shabu worth PHP102 million.

Another suspect identified as Chen Hongli remains at large.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said the “successful” operations were a result of coordination among police and anti-drug operatives.

“Isang malaking halaga na naman ang ating nakumpiska sapagkat mayroong maayos at malinaw na koordinasyon na naganap. Ipagpaptuloy natin ang ganitong mga operasyon upang tuluyang maubos ang mga ilegal na droga sa merkado (We confiscated yet another large amount because there was proper and clear coordination that took place. We will continue such operations to completely eradicate illegal drugs from the market),” Danao said.
