DAVAO CITY — City Police Office Director Colonel Hansel Marantan extended his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Davao City and its visitors for their unwavering support in maintaining peace and security for over one million residents.

“The peace and development we enjoy in Davao would not be possible without the unity and support of every Davaoeño, the city government, and Mayor Baste Duterte. This collective effort, rooted in our shared love for Davao, is what makes our city resilient and progressive,” Marantan said during an interview with Newsline Philippines.

Highlighting the spirit of collaboration, Marantan emphasized that true peace is a shared responsibility. “It is through our joint efforts and mutual trust that we ensure a safe and thriving community,” he added.

The colonel also reminded everyone of the city’s strict prohibition on possessing weapons, firecrackers, and pyrotechnics in compliance with local ordinances. He underscored that celebrating the holidays with love for neighbors and respect for the law is the true essence of Christmas and New Year.

“May we all continue to foster happiness, peace, and unity as we support each other in building a more prosperous Davao. Let us remain vigilant in eradicating illegal activities and protecting our city from those who challenge the rule of law,” Marantan said.

He concluded by expressing pride in the collective spirit of Davaoeños. “Davao City stands as a beacon of unity, a testament to what we can achieve when we come together for a common cause.”
