DAVAO CITY —- Basilan Congressman Mujiv Hataman and his wife Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalian Turabin Hataman on Saturday revealed he and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Hataman said he and his wife took the coronavirus test on Thursday after experiencing what they thought was an ordinary cough.

The lawmaker said on Thursday, they thought it was just an ordinary cough but they decided to undergo coronavirus swab test but when the result came out “Nagpositibo kami pareho (we were both positive)”.

As it is now, the children of the couple and everyone around the family has been isolated and have undergone swab test and they are awaiting the result, Hataman in a Facebook post stressed.

He also revealed that they have instituted measures to protect everyone in their house.

Here is some important portion of the Congressman’s post:

Stay safe at maraming salamat.”-Newsline
