Construction worker stabs partner to death

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — A construction worker is now the subject of a police manhunt after stabbing his partner to death following a drinking spree at a job site on Sunday night, June 2, in Purok Burgende, Barangay Tacunan, Tugbok District.

The Tugbok police identified the victim as Emilia Fuentes Abo-Abo, 55 years old.

According to the police investigation, the couple had been drinking together at around 5:30 in the afternoon. They returned home, but at around 7:45 in the evening, neighbors heard the victim screaming. Upon checking, they saw the suspect, Abo-Abo’s live-in partner, dragging her from the second floor of their residence before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Responding neighbors immediately called the police after seeing Abo-Abo soaked in her own blood.

The investigation revealed that the victim sustained two fatal stab wounds in the chest. The police are actively conducting manhunt operations to arrest the suspect.
