Cotabato judge, 2 others survive ambush try

DAVAO CITY — Cotabato City Deputy Judge Tukod Ronda survived an ambush try at around 2:00 in the afternoon, February 21, along Federville Subdivision, Rosary Heights, Cotabato City.

Ronda was riding a closed van with his driver Nestor Ronda and a certain Taya Ronda when armed men strafed their vehicle.

Sketchy reports revealed, a policeman who resides near the crime scene was able to fight back against the still unknown suspects.

The judge is now in a stable condition while his driver Nestor is undergoing medication due to the gun shot wound on his abdomen.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered more than 20 empty shells of M-16 assault rifle and .45 caliber pistol.
