Couple arrested for illegal drugs in front of their minor kids

ILIGAN CITY (January 27)  —-Unfortunate though, a barangay kagawad and her husband was arrested while selling illegal drugs to a policemen poseur buyer, with their two minor kids around on January 24.

Police  authorities  were not ready to arrest  barangay kagawad  of Tanaka town, Lanao del Sur,  identified as Sittie Aizah Macabando Badron, 24]and her husband Sadam Baniaga Sarip, 27,  since their two minor children with  ages five years old and ten months were aboard the vehicle, but they were caught in the act of selling illegal drugs.

Sittie is pregnant.

Senior Inspector Eric Logroño, chief of Iligan City Police Station 1, said  on January 24 at around 11:00 o’clock in the morning when a police posting  poseur buyer bought a sachet of believed to be ‘shabu’ from Sittie  while onboard their  white Toyota Innova along the national highway of Barangay San Miguel, Iligan City.

Logroño said Badron is the main target of the operation but her husband, Sadam  was also arrested for acting as driver.

Aside from the sachet of ‘shabu’ bought from Badron, operatives confiscated from the “possession and control of the the couple” another six sachets of the same size, the five hundred peso buy-bust money and a cellular phone that may contain informations about the suspect’s other “drug transactions.”

Logroño said, Badron’s relatives immediately arrived at the police station to get the children while the suspects are facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Acts.
