On Tuesday Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto revealed the new route during the Management Executive Board meeting.
The opening of a Davao-Tagbilaran-Davao route will enable people from Mindanao to visit Bohol, and vice versa.
Another air service route that PAL will be opening in December, links Bohol to the newest air hub in Luzon—Clark in Pampanga.
The new routes are additions to the two routes PAL opened a couple of months ago.
PAL opened the Incheon-Tagbilaran-Incheon route and the Cebu-Tagbilaran route, enabling tourists and domestic passengers direct access to Bohol.
Chatto has been pushing for additional flights to entice more visitors to Bohol.
Bohol has long been taking advantage of its natural wonders and its ecological diversity to become an eco-tourism destination, which has been a huge hit for both foreign and domestic tourists. (Dave Albarado/PNA)
