Davao City police scores big in month-long anti-crime operations

Davao City – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) achieved significant gains in their month-long Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted from July 1 to 31, 2023, under the leadership of PCol Alberto P Lupaz, City Director of DCPO.

During this period, the DCPO seized a total of 211.2249 grams of shabu and 30,351.4169 grams of marijuana, with a combined street market value estimated at Php 5,078,499.35. The operations involved 125 missions that led to the apprehension of 135 individuals involved in criminal activities.

In their pursuit of justice, the DCPO made strides in the campaign against Wanted Persons, successfully apprehending 200 individuals with outstanding warrants. The DCPO also conducted 57 Anti-illegal gambling operations, leading to the arrest of 154 violators and the confiscation of Php 37,356.00 in bet money.

The commitment to ensuring public safety was further showcased in the campaign against Illegal Possession of Firearms. The DCPO arrested 12 individuals and confiscated 43 firearms during 42 operations, reinforcing their resolve in keeping Davao City safe and secure.

The DCPO’s performance in the SACLEO operations reflects their continued efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents of Davao City. With strong leadership and a dedicated police force, the city remains committed to creating a better environment for all its citizens.
