DAVAO CITY – The City Government of Davao is set to release the annual subsidy for senior citizens, with funds expected to be disbursed in late October or early November.

Rosevic Joey Jayme, Officer-in-Charge of the Social Welfare Operation Division (SWOD), confirmed that the payroll is currently being finalized.

Last year, 159,194 beneficiaries received the subsidy, with a target of 170,000 this year. Applications submitted after August 1, 2024, will not be included; only those who applied by the July cut-off are eligible.

The subsidy of P1,500 is available to all Davao City residents aged 60 and older, regardless of pension status, provided they have an Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) ID. Authorized representatives can claim the funds by submitting a valid authorization form.

Beneficiaries must present their original OSCA ID, a photocopy, and a valid government ID during the payout. The CSWDO regularly updates the beneficiary list to ensure only eligible seniors receive assistance.
