DAVAO CITY –— To further serve their clients given the restriction of the pandemic, the AboitizPower subsidiary Davao Light and Power Company introduces new contactless billing and payment services for customers within its franchise area.

Davao Light’s latest supplemental service called eBillTxt allows electronic bills to be sent via text message. This service is part of Davao Light’s innovative way of providing its customers with easier and more efficient options to manage their electricity bills.

The SMS will contain the customer’s account balance, due date, and link to the password-protected PDF bill which can be shown when paying at customer service centers or accredited third-party agents of Davao Light.

“With eBillTxt, we elevate customer experience by making Davao Light’s billing services easily accessible to our customers. They have the power to access their bills right at their fingertips!” said Davao Light Assistant Vice President for Customer Services Group Arnold L. Arsolon.

Customers may avail of the eBillTxt service by registering through the link posted on Davao Light’s official Facebook page or by sending an email request to davaolight@aboitiz.com

To complement this new billing service, the distribution utility has also partnered with more banks and e-wallets, making payment more convenient.
Payments can now be made through GCash, Paymaya, UnionBank, Security Bank, BDO, Lazada, Shopee, Coins.ph, and Bayad PH.

To pay online, customers can log in to the mobile application or website of the third-party agent of their choice and select the ‘Bills Payment’ option. After entering Davao Light as the biller, they can then input their Account ID, Account Name, and the amount stated in their bill.

Customers can also check if their payment is successfully posted via MobileAP, a mobile app developed by AboitizPower that lets its users check their current and previous bills, see power consumption charts, and manage multiple accounts.

These new billing and payment options are a testament to Davao Light’s dedication to meet its customer’s ever-changing needs and deliver world-class service.

Davao Light is the third-largest privately-owned electric distribution utility in the country in terms of customer size and annual kWh sales. Davao Light’s franchise area covers Davao City, areas of Panabo City, and the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Santo Tomas in Davao del Norte, with a population of approximately 2.2 million and a total area of 3,561 square kilometers.
