DAVAO CITY – Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. has announced that it will be conducting planned power interruptions on August 24, Thursday, which will impact customers in Bunawan, Davao City.

These scheduled power interruptions are essential for the relocation of poles as requested by DPWH.

The first power interruption is set for 8 hours, starting from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., in order to facilitate the isolation of affected lines. The process of normalization or returning loads to their regular configuration will last for 1 hour, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Specifically, residential and commercial customers located after Bunawan Overpass along National Road will be affected. This includes areas from BDO, Iglesia ni Cristo Church, Pacific Oil, Sea Oil Gas Station, Odena Sand & Gravel, and areas before Steniel Packing Plant, along with its neighboring regions.

Davao Light expresses regret for any inconvenience that these scheduled power interruptions may cause. The company assures its customers that all possible measures will be taken to restore electric service as planned or even ahead of schedule. However, it’s important to note that certain unforeseen circumstances might lead to restoration extending beyond the expected timeframe.

Safety remains the top priority for Davao Light. The public is kindly reminded to exercise extra caution when near areas where line repairs and maintenance are ongoing. It’s crucial to adhere to warning signs, especially in zones where heavy equipment is being operated.

For power interruptions that fall outside the provided schedule, customers are encouraged to reach out to the 24/7 Customer Contact Service at the following numbers: 229-3572, 655-3572 (Panabo), 0917-864-2793 (Globe), or 0920-970-1357 (Smart).
