DAVAO CITY – The city government of Davao on Monday disinfected the vicinity of City Hall while Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas has imposed a “no face mask, no entry” policy , as a measure to prevent the spread of the dreaded coronavirus which has already recorded 24 cases in the country.
Cagas ordered the strict implementation of “no face mask. no entry” policy to all provincial government employees and those who will transact business at the capitol.
On Monday, the city government of Davao cancelled the flag-raising ceremony. Personnel from the City Health Office sprayed disinfectant at the City Hall grounds, Osmeña and Rizal Parks, where people usually converge.
In Davao del Sur, Cagas ordered that those who refused to wear the face mask will be denied entry.
Cagas explained “No Mask, No Entry” policy is “for everybody’s compliance.”
This, after Southern Philippines Medical Center chief of hospital Dr. Leopoldo Vega revealed confirmed over the weekend of having two patients under their care detected to possess symptoms of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
On Monday night, Vega announced that the test result showed one of the persons under investigation yielded negative infection of COVID-19.
