DAVAO CITY – A drug suspect who was reportedly the city’s top personality was neutralized by the raiding police after he reportedly tried to get back at them during the buy-bust operation at around 11:56 in the morning on Saturday in Ponte Verde Subdivision, Phase 2, Barangay Communal, this city.

The Buhangin Police identified the victim as Sherwin Familiar Martin alyas “Win”, top drug personality in the city.

The police were conducting a buy-bust operation but after the purchase the suspect reportedly retaliated at law enforcers after sensing that he was dealing with the police.

During the search, police authorities found P748,000 worth of shabu and another bag which contained dried marijuana leaves with a street value of P6,000 pesos.

The police also recovered .45 caliber pistol from the possession of the suspect.

The incident happened hours after Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte ordered the police to run after illegal drugs trader in the city and after the installation of new Davao City Police Office Director Police Colonel Richard Bad-ang.
