DAVAO CITY (September 22) –  The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), led by Acting City Director PCOL Mannan Caracas Muarip, reported the peaceful and orderly conclusion of the Davao City Prayer Rally, which drew thousands of participants. The event ended without any untoward incidents or arrests.

DCPO expressed its gratitude to attendees and organizers for their cooperation, which contributed greatly to the success of the gathering. A significant number of police personnel were deployed to ensure security, traffic management, and public safety. Their visible presence, combined with the discipline shown by the crowd, helped maintain order throughout the rally.

“The zero-incident record for tonight’s prayer rally is a testament to the discipline of the Davaoeños and the effectiveness of our security preparations,” PCOL Muarip said. “It shows that large public assemblies can be held peacefully when there is mutual respect and cooperation between the public and law enforcement.”

The DCPO emphasized that the outcome demonstrates the value of close coordination with event organizers and local government units. It also reaffirmed its commitment to safeguard public safety while respecting the constitutional right of citizens to peaceably assemble.

Looking ahead, DCPO said it will continue to uphold lawfulness, human rights, and freedom in managing public events, ensuring that peace and security go hand in hand in Davao City.
