DILG appoints OIC Mayor for Pigcawayan town

DAVAO CITY — The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has appointed Vice – Mayor Niel Jake Casi as the Acting Mayor of Pigcawayan town after Mayor Juanito ‘Totoy’ Agustin was figured in a vehicular accident on July 19, 2023, in Digos City.

The Mayor underwent operation last night and was successful, the Facebook page of the town posted while his children will be discharged today, July 20, 2023.

In a memorandum citing Administrative Order No. 15 series of 2018, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Emilia B. Dandoy appointed Senior Board Member Shadria A. Tejada as OIC Vice Mayor.

As of presstime, Agustin is still in the hospital.
