DOH modifies terms for coronavirus cases

DAVAO CITY — The Department of Health on Saturday announced the modification of terms for patients under investigation (PUIs) and patients under monitoring (PUMs) to categorize Covid-19 cases.

Cases are now to be called confirmed, suspect and probable cases.

Those tested positive for Covid-19 will be considered “confirmed” cases while those with symptoms but remain untested will be called “suspected” cases.

Those who are still awaiting results will be called as probable cases.
