Labor Undersecretary Dominador Say revealed that the department is working on the rules and the implementation to ensure everything is covered.
“The guidelines are one of the matters being readied as well as other required documents,” he said.
The guidelines will be announced soon by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
“As soon as everything is done and before the full implementation of the ID system, the POEA will announce the guidelines, FAQs & other info needed by the public,” Say added.
The ID system for Filipinos working aboard was officially launched on Wednesday in Malacanang.
Departing OFW’s will be issued said ID.
An online application as well as the payment system for the card will be set up by the government.
The OFW’s will not shell out for the ID as the cost of the ID will be shouldered by the employer.
The IDOLE will be the replacement of the overseas employment certificate.-Newsline.ph/PNA
