DAVAO CITY — The Malaybalay City Police Station, part of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, arrested a watch-listed individual for violations of R.A. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The arrest took place in Purok 2, Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu.

The suspect, identified as alias “Bernard,” 48, is a resident of Brgy. 1, Poblacion, Malaybalay City. He has a previous arrest record from 2018 for violating the same drug law, though he was acquitted. Authorities believe his drug supply is sourced from Wao, Lanao del Sur.

During the operation, police recovered seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 60 grams, with a street value of approximately P409,000. Additional items seized included a pouch, a motorcycle, and a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.

The suspect is now in the custody of the Malaybalay City Police Station for proper processing.

Police Brigadier General Jaysen de Guzman, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, praised the efforts of the operating unit.

“We will not relent in our campaign against illegal drugs. We assure the public that PRO10, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, will continue to arrest drug peddlers until they are brought to justice. I urge everyone to assist us by reporting illegal activities,” he stated.
