Lanao del Norte Province—In a unified response to aid residents severely impacted by the recent onslaught of the southwest monsoon, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) orchestrated the distribution of essential food packs to 989 families across several municipalities, including Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lala, Kapatagan, and Sapad.
Each food pack, encompassing six kilograms of rice, canned goods, milk, and other necessities, materialized through a collaborative initiative between the DSWD, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. This joint effort underscores the dedication of local government units in providing vital assistance during these challenging circumstances.
Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibrabza-Dimaporo commended the diligent endeavors of the DSWD, underscoring the significance of prompt aid for those affected by the calamity within her province.
The distribution, executed on August 1 and 2, aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by families contending with the aftermath of the destructive weather conditions. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the government’s support, conveying sincere appreciation to both the DSWD and the provincial administration.
