DAVAO DEL NORTE – A Dubai-based entrepreneur has expressed his commitment to invest PHP 10 billion in the province of Davao del Norte, as he seeks opportunities for business expansion in the region.

This decision was made during a visit by the Emirati national to various cities and towns in Davao del Norte, with Governor Edwin Jubahib personally acting as the tour guide for the investor.

Accompanied by local officials, Governor Jubahib presented potential business locations, including tourist destinations, to the visiting businessman.

Governor Jubahib believes that through the investment of the Emirati entrepreneur, many opportunities will open up for the local population, including job creation and the further development of the province’s economy and tourism sector.

The initial PHP 10 billion investment will be allocated for the development of agri-products, manufacturing, and tourism development, including hotels, real estate, and resorts.

According to Jubahib, the Dubai-based businessman is led by Dr. Bu Abdullah, who owns more than 200 diversified businesses worldwide.

Dr. Thousif Pasya, a spokesperson for the group, mentioned that they had explored numerous islands but ultimately decided on the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS) as the ideal place for their investment.

One of the reasons cited by Pasya for choosing to invest in Davao del Norte is the province’s stability and peace.

This significant investment is expected to have a substantial impact on the local economy and job market, bringing new opportunities for the people of Davao del Norte.
