DAVAO CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday appointed top caliber Davao Lawyers to occupy top government position eve of his administration.
Duterte who will step down from office on June 30, 2022, appointed three Davao laywers to ccupy three seats recently vacated at the Court of Appeals.
The three (3) appointees include Judge Jill Rose Jaugan-Lo, Judge Ronald Tolentino and bar topnotcher and private practicing Lawyer Rogelio Largo.
Justice Lo’s husband Anderson was also appointed as the new Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao, he replaced retired DO Rodolfo Elman.
The new appointees included, Assistance Secretary Atty. Vanessa Goc-ong, who was appointed as Regional Director for Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI regional Director Atty. Vanessa Cog-ong; National Housing Authority (NHA) chief of staff Atty. John-Christopher T. Mahamud as Commissioner of the Human Settlement Adjudication Commission (HSAC), all appointees have six-year fixed terms.
Also appointed in the judiciary include: Atty. – Deputy Ombudsman for Visayas; Marie Estrellita S. Tolentino-Rojas – RTC Judge, Branch 17, Davao City; Alena Gale Palileo Yabes – RTC Judge, Branch 12-FC, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato; Alona Labtic-Pioquinto – RTC Judge, Branch 9-FC, Lupon, Davao Oriental; Kim Ledesma-Ciudadano – Assistant Regional Prosecutor, Region XI; Magnolia Quidet – Associate Provincial Prosecutor, Davao Oriental; Mae Canete Tupas – Assistant City Prosecutor, Davao City; Lyrehc Onellives – Assistant City Prosecutor, Davao City; Ech Trinity-Geo – Assistant City Prosecutor, Davao City; Christy Theresa Bernadette Dureza-Llanes – Assistant City Prosecutor, Davao City; Bam Lumaad – Associate City Prosecutor, Tagum City; Ciena Mae Juyo – Associate City Prosecutor, Davao City; Vanessa Vegafria – Labor Arbiter; Charmalou Aldevera – NLRC Commissioner; Mike Mamukid – NCMF Commissioner; Randolf Chatto Pensoy – DOLE XI Regional Director; Owee Laud-Begyan – DHSUD Director III
