DAVAO CITY — To make sure  that the screening procedure and  COVID-19 protocol is observed, President Rodrigo Duterte  went to the  boundary of Valenzuela City in Metro Manila and Meycauayan, Bulacan along MacArthur Highway early Tuesday.

On Monday night, Duterte appealed for volunteerism as he invited country’s conglomerates to contribute as the country tries to stop a contagion that already affected many countries.

Duterte placed the entire Luzon island under enhanced
community quarantine to halt the spread of COVID-19, widening the
scope of a counter-measure after putting Metro Manila under quarantine
last week.
